City Council committee to consider Brown Field RFP |

Land Use and Housing Committee to consider Brown Field RFP on June 13 at 2 pm at City Hall.
The claim is made that input was sought many times from the Airport Advisory Committee. However, the RFP calls for the 2 selected developers to proposal anything of any size for any aviation purpose. Rather than fit a plan, they are calling for these developers to propose a plan.

Finally! A new aviation development at Brown Field could happen. The City of San Diego has started the process by requesting developers with aviation experience to submit their qualifications by Feb 23, 2007. (The full RFQ can be downloaded from here.)
Two primary sites are suggested, although the request for qualifications document goes to great lengths to suggest that developments on any part of Brown Field, large or small, would be considered.
